Crochet Instructions for Misses' Vest in Two Lengths, Poncho and Medallion Trim -- This envelope contains step-by-step crochet instructions for making vests in Misses' sizes, small (8-10) and medium (12-14). The poncho is one size. The vests and poncho are made of a given number of 3" yo-yos stitched together. The yo-yos are worked in two colors. The short of long vest has tie ends with pom-pon trim. The poncho has tie belt. Instructions are also given for making the 3.5" yo-yo medallions, which may be used to trim tops and skirts and other articles of clothing. The medallions are worked in three colors. While not difficult to make, a little knowledge of crocheting is helpful.

Sometimes it's far more fun to sew something from another time.
Sometimes it's even more fun to update it or make it a little differently to suit your taste.
And sometimes the only thing you can do with that totally awesome vintage yardage you have is build an equally awesome vintage garment. But the only way to make it look "right" is to use a pattern it was meant to be used with back in the day.
In any case, I hope you have "just the right fabric" to use with this pattern.
Always contact me if you have questions. I love to talk sewing and patterns and vintage...and a bunch of other stuff, too!
