I'm stumped too. I tried using the name of my page, Corinna Ciera, as my username and it wouldn't accept "corinnaciera". Stated it was unavailable. But that's by business name! I guess I'll have to use the numbers forever?

You're doing it right! That just means somebody else has already used your name.. the same url cannot be used twice.
You'll just have to switch it up a little. Get more creative with creating your name. (Add a (.), extra word, what you create or something.)

Can you explain to the others how you arrived at changing your username here?! :)

We all start some where, and some of the businesses coming by here for the boot camp do not have much following themselves or are just starting out, and are participating in order to find ways to gain views, gain customers, get their names out there, show their brand, and etc. Everyone starts from the bottom, and works at bringing themselves up to where they are, where they plan to be, achieving their goals set for themselves, and etc.

I went by you shop, and seen there were no products listed there, and it also showed that it has been 3 days since you checked into your shop.

There are many many things to do to get your name out there, show your business more, show people what you do, and so on. Have to show consistancy...let people know you check in, have products showing for others to see, when we all list items for sale we can't just leave it at that but must do more to make it visible......twitter, facebook, blog, flickr, picasa, participate with different social medias, put your name & back links everywhere that you can......every little bit will help to get your name out there, and when that happens along the way you start getting picked up by google, you start ranking with google, and of course with other searches too.

We all have to work at what we do, we all have started with nothing, no customers, no followers, no one knowing us. But, we have all done what we can to bring ourselves slowly up, get to where we are, and yes...it takes a lot of work to do this....I myself only wish it could be a 9-5, but it is not till we become bigger ourselves, or get our sales to where we are comfortable with them. Brick & Mortar stores do the same things....they don't just put inventory in the building, and open the doors...they too have to do many things to get their names out there, what they do, what they sell, location of where they are, etc etc.

If you have any questions, the forums are always open with many many great people around here to help. These forums are great for help, and for learning from too. They are some of the best around that I have seen, and participated with too:) Best of luck to you, and everyone here:)
